The Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester has a jam-packed schedule of events in 2024 — including its Tuesday curry nights featuring an ever-changing menu based on traditional flavours and spices.

The Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester is hosting a variety of events for guests and the community this year with top entertainment, chances to mingle and fantastic offers on its food and facilities.

The refreshed events calendar comes in a period of positive change at the hotel under the direction of general manager Jean-Benoît Burloux and executive chef James Edwards, with new menus, glamourous interiors and luxurious finishing touches all added in the past year.

At its restaurant, MBB Brasserie, couples can now enjoy a special 'Just You and I' date night on Thursdays, with a unique menu of sharing dishes to choose from along with champagne, a carafe wine selection and indulgent sharing desserts.

Menu highlights include the chateaubriand with fries or chunky chips, mixed buttered greens and mixed salad; the 'impossibly vegan' jersey royals with wild mushrooms, celeriac purée, truffles, heritage confit carrots, charred hispi cabbage, kale and edamame; and the 'grilled seafood symphony' with hokkaido scallops, king prawns, mussels, fish of the day and seaweed sea asparagus.

There's also MBB's curry nights every Tuesday, at which guests can tuck into delicious curry from an ever-changing menu, cooked in-house by the kitchen team with traditional flavours and spices.

The menu includes poppadums to start, with mint yoghurt and chutney; and the curry of the week made with chicken, beef, lamb, prawns, fish or vegetarian, served with naan bread and spiced basmati rice; all for just £19.95 per person.

There's entertainment to be had down in the hotel's vault which hosts the monthly Cirencester Comedy Club, bringing some of the top talent on the UK comedy circuit to the Cotswolds. Guests can enjoy a selection of dishes from the vault menu alongside the show, with a special date night option available for couples, too.

The next Comedy Club event on Friday 10 May 2024 will be headlined by Ignacio Lopez, who has appeared on Live at The Apollo and Have I Got News For You.

Ignacio brings a unique brand of sarcastic observations of cultural differences, giving the audience a humorous taste of what it's like to be the outsider — Ignacio is from Cardiff and has both Welsh and Spanish heritage.

After their successful launch in March, the hotel is also hosting a series of speed dating events this spring and summer to help singles find their Mr or Mrs Right, with different age ranges from 30 upwards being catered for over the coming months.

The 'Single? Let's Mingle' events cost £25 per person to attend which includes a welcome drink, with the next one for people in their 40s and 50s taking place on Thursday 23 May 2024.

Guests and locals can also enjoy Sunday lunch at The Kings Head alongside a close-up magic show with acclaimed magician Alex Robertson, who previously performed at the hotel for famous former Cotswold resident Sir Roger Moore.

For wine enthusiasts, there are regular tasting events held every Friday at the hotel's Corn Hall Cellars, which features hand-picked wines and spirits from around the world as well as local vineyards like Woodchester Valley and Poulton Hill Estate. Attendees are able to try five new wines at the tastings for just £18 per person.

For those looking for a family getaway for the coming half term, The Kings Head is now offering complimentary stays for children up to the age of 12 all year round, with child-sized beds and robes, special shower and body wash, an engaging activity pack and a complimentary breakfast all offered to give younger guests a truly luxurious experience.

The hotel has also implemented new offers for its spa this year, with rejuvenating smoothies, thermal spa access, massages and facials all available in packages at a range of prices.
