History
SoGlos was founded in 2007 by Gloucestershire born-and-bred journalists Michelle and James Fyrne, who returned to their home county after working for magazines in London and Dubai – spotting a gap in the local market for a quality arts and entertainment title.
Press
Hailed as an ‘impressive online magazine’ by the Guardian and a ‘Time Out for Gloucestershire’ by Press Gazette, the last six years have seen SoGlos garner media attention as one of the UK’s leading regional online magazines.

Ethos
SoGlos is committed to providing its readers with editorial of a national media standard; all content is written by trained journalists, and you won’t find any copying and pasting of press releases.
There’s a clear separation of advertising and editorial, and established guidelines on what the online magazine’s editorial remit does – and doesn’t – extend to.
We cover Gloucestershire arts, entertainment and leisure. It’s what we’re passionate about, and experts in, and part of the reason SoGlos is the most influential guide to the county.
