von Essen wins Hotel Chain of the Year award
News – von Essen hotels, the chain with three luxurious hotels in Gloucestershire, won the Gold Award for Hotel Chain of the Year at the British Travel Awards 2009.
The glittering British Travel Awards ceremony, held in London on Thursday 5 November 2009, saw luxury hotel chain von Essen hotels beat off stiff competition to win the Gold Award for Hotel Chain of the Year 2009.
The private collection of country house hotels includes three Gloucestershire hotels: Lower Slaughter Manor in Lower Slaughter, Washbourne Court in Lower Slaughter, and The Greenway in Cheltenham.
Travellers in the UK, as well as travel industry professionals, voted for their favourite hotel chain in their tens of thousands – with von Essen hotels beating prestigious hotel chains such as Hilton, Warner Leisure hotels and Shearings to the title.
