Exhibition: Pre-Impress 09
Venue: Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum
Area: Cheltenham
On display: Twenty artists from the Gloucestershire Printmaking Co-operative will present a range of new and innovative work, organised as a preview to the ImPress Printmaking Festival coming to Stroud in March 2009. Expect to see screenprints, monoprints, etchings, woodcuts and artists’ books at the group show.

Times: Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum is open 10am until 5pm daily

On display: Chepstow-based artist Mike Dexter will be displaying his maritime and Severn Estuary-inspired paintings at Taurus Crafts, created using a palette-knife technique of scraping and re-applying paint.

On display: Photographer Emile Waagenaar’s intimate portraits of Cajun musicians of Louisiana offer intriguing insights into a very special culture. This exhibition coincides with the 16th Cajun and Zydeco Festival at the Guildhall.
