Christmas at Sudeley Castle
16 December – Visit Santa in his grotto, take part in the Arty Smarty Castle Party or listen to festive family fables at Sudeley Castle this Christmas.
For one weekend only this Christmas, the majestic Sudeley Castle will be given a festive makeover for the special Christmas at the Castle event, with a whole host of activities planned to keep the family entertained.
Children will be able to visit Santa in his grotto where they will receive a gift, as well as take part in the Arty Smarty Castle Party – making castle Christmas decorations to take home for the family tree. While the whole family will enjoy the Family Festive Fables from Chloe of the Midnight Storytellers – combining the medieval magic of Sudeley Castle with myths and legends from around the world.
The Christmas at the Castle event will also include the chance to sing along to carols and festive numbers with the Jenny Wren Choir, hear The Cotswold Chef Rob Rees talking about The Cotswold Christmas and his new book on the Sunday at 1pm, browse the Christmas market for fine foods and luxurious gifts from local traders, and have a family photo portrait taken as the snowflakes fall from the snow machine – framed to take home on the day.
And if that wasn’t enough – visitors will also be able to enjoy Sudeley Castle’s glorious gardens in their full winter finery until 3pm on both the Saturday and Sunday.
