Went along to Rise Helicopters on Saturday for the £20 ride. It was excellent and couldn't believe how cheap it was!...

A Night at the Opera in Tewkesbury
10 May – Tewkesbury Abbey will be the setting for A Night at the Opera this May, when culture vultures will also be joined by BBC commentator Richard Baker.
Special events held at the glorious Tewkesbury Abbey never fail to attract a crowd, and this Saturday 10 May 2008 is likely to be no exception when A Night at the Opera sees a colourful evening of operatic choruses and arias come to town.
Tewkesbury and District Choral Society will be joined by professional soloists, including reputed soprano Rachel Chapman, to perform opera favourites including ‘The Triumphal March’ from Aida, ‘Chorus of The Hebrew Slaves’ from Nabucco and the beautiful ‘Easter Hymn’ by Mascagni.
In what is expected to be a highlight of the evening, Richard Baker – the British BBC broadcaster best known for his newsreading in the 1950s, 60s and 70s – will be in attendance, and is rumoured to be taking a star turn in the energetic ‘Anvil Chorus’. As well as being the author of 10 books, six about music, Richard Barker OBE is also the president of the Holst Birthplace Museum in Cheltenham.
Tickets cost from £8 to £15 and, for lovers of the fine arts, this one-night-only performance is not to be missed.
