The crowd is always good to and there's a lively atmosphere. My only recommendation is to arrive early. Oh, and I took a first date to one night...

Christmas carols at The Suffolks

3 December – A free, community-spirited evening of Christmas carols will be taking place once again at The Sufollks in Cheltenham, this December.

Members of the public, local residents and more than 70 businesses will be gathering together on Wednesday 3 December 2008 for the annual Suffolks Traders’ Association Christmas carols event.

Taking place on Suffolk Parade in Cheltenham, the free community event will give visitors the chance to sing-along with the Cheltenham Bach Choir and the Cheltenham College Junior School Choir in the candlelight.

Father Christmas is expected to find time to greet the children, while stalls will be selling warming cups of mulled wine, mince pies and other festive treats, with proceeds from the evening being donated to local charity Cheltenham Open Door.

Michele Beint, Chairman of The Suffolks Traders’ Association, said: ‘The village atmosphere in The Suffolks lends itself perfectly to an evening when everyone gathers together to sing Christmas carols, marking the beginning of the festive season.’

Event: Christmas carols at The Suffolks
Venue: Suffolk Parade, Cheltenham
Date: Wednesday 3 December 2008
