In what is once again expected to be one of Gloucestershire’s most popular spring exhibitions, The Open West 2010 will see 40 selected artists’ work go on display at both the University of Gloucestershire’s Summerfield Gallery and the Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, for the second year in a row.

Taking place from Wednesday 17 February to Saturday 13 March 2010, all of the artists involved in The Open West have submitted their work to the annual open competition for the contemporary arts – with over 2,200 works by 480 UK and international artists having been assessed by a panel of judges last year.

Submissions once again range from film, paint, sculpture, print, photography and drawing in 2010 – with work this year also including site specific installation, performance pieces and collaborative projects, for a dual-venue exhibition that promises to be unmissable.
