Cheltenham Open Air Art Exhibition

Event ended

Until 19 July – Now in its 40th year, the Cheltenham Open Air Art Exhibition is expected to attract art lovers from the four corners of the county and beyond.

First established in 1969, the Cheltenham Open Air Art Exhibition is a firm fixture on the town’s events calendar – attracting thousands of art lovers from across the UK – and this year is set to be a very special occasion indeed.

Celebrating the 40th year of the event, the Mayor of Cheltenham will arrive at Imperial Gardens to officially open proceedings on Saturday 20 June at 10am – with the art extravaganza continuing right through until Sunday 19 July 2009.

There will be four one-week exhibitions as part of the event, taking place from Saturday 20 to Saturday 27 June; Sunday 28 June to Saturday 4 July; Sunday 5 to Saturday 11 July; and Sunday 12 to Sunday 19 July 2009 respectively.

Visitors can expect to see over 100 local artists exhibiting over the four exhibitions, with 6-feet high screens used to show off an array of works. Many of the pictures are also available for sale, with plenty of bargains up for grabs according to organisers.
