Cheltenham’s popular Gardens Gallery will play home to a vibrant display of fine art photographic prints this Thursday 25 March to Tuesday 6 April 2010, during the fantastically titled Ladies with Lenses Exhibition.

The Ladies with Lenses include June Cook, Sara Bunn and Edwina Dickinson – all members of the prestigious Royal Photographic Society – whose work shares a focus on animals, although all with very distinct styles.

June is a Gloucester-based photographer who gained Fellowship of the RPS with her portraits of dogs. Her images have been exhibited at the London and Bristol Salon exhibitions, and her ability to captivate the quintessential character of her subject is said to make her animal photographs outstanding.

Sara is an accomplished photographer and watercolour artist whose images in Ladies with Lenses – predominantly studies of bird life – reflect her ability to combine both mediums in a presentation of nature in art.

Edwina, meanwhile, is celebrating a golden anniversary of her love affair with the camera in 2010 – said to be a source of amusement tempered with tolerance and support from both family and friends. Awards include everything from the BBC Countryfile Calendar to the Royal Horticultural Society.

Expected to appeal to art aficionados, photography fanatics and animal lovers alike, this fun-filled exhibition is sure to prove a popular event – with the chance to purchase a range of distinctive prints.
