Cinderford Arts and Crafts Festival
Take the whole family to Cinderford in the Forest of Dean this September, when the jam-packed one-day Arts and Crafts Festival gets underway.
The Triangle in the heart of Cinderford will be the setting for a busy Arts and Crafts Festival this Sunday 12 September 2010, thanks to local artist Christine Pond who runs The Gallery in the town.
Kicking off at 10am, families are promised a great day out thanks to a bouncy castle, face painting, art being displayed on the railings, plenty of stalls and, SoGlos.com’s favourite, a street chalking competition.
The Gallery on Market Street will be exhibiting local artists’ work, while there will also be mini demonstrations through the day.
Christine has also organised a programme of live performances throughout the day to include singers and dancers from local schools, and a drama performance by local actors.
As well as being a great reason to visit the Forest of Dean town, the festival will be raising funds for Hop Skip & Jump Centres – play and support centres for children with a life threatening illness, or special needs, and their families.
To take part in the street chalk competition or to show your artistic wares as part of the event, contact organisers via the details provided below.
