Grab your diary and jot down the date; the University of Gloucestershire is holding a special open event this Wednesday 15 February 2012, giving budding students an insight into the range of Postgraduate, Professional and Short Courses available.

Organisers say whether you want to advance your career, expand your mind or simply explore a new interest, further study may be the answer.

Whatever your ambitions, drop in at the open event any time between 4pm and 7pm to find out how to make them a reality – with the chance to chat informally to course leaders about specific programmes, how further study can enhance your career prospects, available study options, as well as scholarships and discounts on offer.

Postgraduate taught courses span everything from Accounting and Financial Management, Law and Computing with Software Engineering to Creative and Critical Writing, Journalism and Sports Therapy.

Postgraduate research degrees include the likes of Art and Design, Countryside and Community, Creative Writing, English and History.

Professional courses cover business, health and more subject areas, and include the likes of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), Advance Practice (Health), Introduction to Whole Person Healthcare and a University Diploma in Child Care Practice.

While the popular short courses include everything from a Beginners Guide to Drawing, Creative Photography, Teeline Shorthand and Wedding Planning to Making Your Community Sustainable and Festivals Management.
