I am disappointed that the Merchants Quay shops were closed. The Docks needs some tourist shops in the immediate dock area. 6 August 2009

The Pirates event held at the Docks was great (for the kids especially), but it's a shame that the immediate area isn't more lively all year around. I know special events like this can't be held every weekend, but once you've done the Waterways Museum what else is there really? 26 October 2008

I used to be a regular visitor to Gloucester Docks as I love the antique centre. It was my first visit this weekend in quite sometime, however, and I was a little disappointed. There are cranes everywhere, some of my favourite shops had shutdown, and still we had trouble finding a parking space. With all the development happening I have no doubts that it will become the tourist attraction it once was, but I wish that they would hurry up! 28 April 2008
