Slimbridge Beer Festival 2008

21 June – Complete with local real ales, cider and wines, not to mention scheduled performances from local bands, the Slimbridge Beer Festival 2008 is already set to be a summer scorcher.

Expect local tipples, and music, on offer at this year's Slimbridge Beer Festival.
Expect local tipples, and music, on offer at this year's Slimbridge Beer Festival.

This year’s Slimbridge Beer Festival is set to take place on Saturday 21 June 2008, with real ale lovers flocking from far and wide to join in the festivities at the site adjacent to Slimbridge Wetland Centre.

Organisers promise visitors can expect a fine selection of local and national real ales at this year’s event, as well as cider, wines and real lagers for those so inclined – with tipples from Battledown Brewing, Nailsworth Brewery and Uley Brewery having all having made the hit list at last year’s event.

Festival-goers will also be treated to live music courtesy of folk, acoustic and alternative band Wilcox & Brooks, classic rock covers care of The Tone Devils and even more rock covers from The Macaroni Penguins.

With all proceeds from Slimbridge Beer Festival 2008 going to local Scouting organisations, and tickets expected to sell-out quickly, don’t miss out on what is expected to be another popular event this summer.
