The Irish Village at The Brewery
With live music and plenty of the black stuff on tap, The Brewery is promising racegoers a real knees-up during Cheltenham Festival 2012, at The Irish Village.
Racegoers from across Gloucestershire and beyond will be heading to The Brewery in Cheltenham, where The Irish Village will once again be proving an unmissable post-racing party during The Festival and Gold Cup 2012.
From Tuesday 13 to Friday 16 March 2012, organisers say The Brewery will be getting into the spirit of the craic at The Irish Village – with the free party expected to overshadow the countless other celebrations in Cheltenham, particularly on St Patrick’s Day.
Revellers can expect toe-tapping contemporary Irish music from local legends The Roving Crows, when the Emerald Isle band play a free, daily gig from from 5pm to 7pm in the marquee at The Brewery.
From 7pm on the Wednesday and Thursday local ska / skiffle band Thrill Collins will be playing to The Brewery’s crowds – with Robbie, Andrew and Tristan described by organisers as a band ‘making a name for themselves fast as Cheltenham’s best band’.
On St Patrick’s Day and the Gold Cup nights, there will also be street entertainers including comedy bouncers and fire jugglers giving the crowds plenty to applaud.
As well as also playing host to The Roving Crows, Apres at The Brewery will be showing live sports daily on the biggest television screens in Cheltenham, plus there will be full Irish breakfasts on offer and an outdoor Guinness bar daily. For more information see The Cheltenham Festival at Apres.
While the other bars and restaurants at The Brewery are also expected to be getting into the celebratory spirit too, including Nandos, Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo, Real China, Harvester and Chiquito, with most serving breakfast and lunch before the racing, with evening entertainment and dining later on.
