Brand new for 2011, reputed watering hole The Yew Tree Inn near Newent has just launched a monthly Wine and Supper Club – with discerning diners expected to come from far and wide for the May Hill haunt’s events.

The new series of special events will feature themed dinners, wine tastings, guest speakers, live music and entertainment – with the first event of its kind scheduled to take place on Friday 4 March 2011.

The inaugural Wine and Supper Club will celebrate game in all its glory, with Forest of Dean wild boar making a special appearance on the Forest of Dean pub’s menu.

If you haven’t visited The Yew Tree Inn before, the former cider house is situated on the foot of National Trust-owned May Hill and promises guests a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Daily food specials complement the seasonal à la carte menu, an excellent choice of local real ales are available behind the bar, while the in-house wine shop features a whole host of carefully selected French wines.
