Beechenhurst Lodge in the Forest of Dean will play host to Magic Ice Skating this Christmas and New Year, attracting families from across Gloucestershire.

Visitors to the Forest of Dean’s Beechenhurst Lodge will be in for a festive treat this Christmas, with Magic Ice Skating on offer until 2010.

Visitors of all ages can literally get their skates on for a spin around the synthetic ice skating rink, which has been installed in front of Gavellers Cafe in Coleford.

The ice skating rink is open from 10am to 6pm on Saturday 19 to Wednesday 23 December 2009; from 10am to 1pm on Christmas Eve, as well as from 10am to 6pm on Saturday 27 December 2009 to Friday 1 January 2010.

On Saturday 2 and Sunday January 2010 the ice rink will be open from 10am to 5pm for the final chance to have a winter skate in the forest.

Wrap up warm for the chance to whip around the magical rink this winter, and bring your walking boots for a brisk stroll around the forest for a perfect way to work off the mince pies.
