On Sunday 30 September 2012, Westonbirt Arboretum will be joining Forestry Commission sites across the country for a nationwide celebration of Forest Discovery Day.
Taking place at the Gloucestershire attraction from 10am to 3pm, families visiting Westonbirt will be able to take part in a range of free activities to celebrate the woodlands in all their early autumnal glory.
Organisers promise that visitors can experience seed planting and seed crafts, take a special trail around the Old Arboretum, have a tour Westonbirt’s new Propagation Unit and discover how the next generation of the aboretum’s trees and shrubs are grown as part of the scheduled activities.
