The renowned Giffords Circus will be staging a series of shows in the county in 2012, including at historic venue Llanthony Secunda Priory in Gloucester.
This year Giffords Circus will present The Saturday Book, dubbed a witty collection of vignettes, tableaus, stories and paintings.
The shows, taking place in Gloucester from Thursday 17 to Monday 21 May 2012, promise vintage variety with live music, and a good old fashioned day out for the whole family.
Toti and Nell Gifford started Giffords Circus back in 2000; their vision was of a ‘miniature village green circus, packed, rowdy, glamorous – birds and horses and motorbikes bursting from a fluttering white tent – a show for rural families, farmers and film stars.’
Since this time it has toured the rural south west, moving every week, and has entertained more than 250,000 people – becoming synonymous with the inspiring musicality each show is filled with.
If previous years are anything to go by, the 2012 shows are set to be nothing short of spectacular.
