Gloucester City Museum will be hosting a 1950s-themed village fete to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee this summer.
The popular museum will be hoping to entice families from across the county with fun and games on Saturday 2 June 2012.
Organisers will be transforming the venue into a traditional village summer fete and cramming it with as much 1950s atmosphere as they can.
An added treat will be the chance to see footage of the Queen’s momentous visit to Gloucester in 1953.
There will be games to keep the little ones entertained, including Splat the Rat, white elephant stalls filled with items for sale, homemade cakes and locally grown plants to add to the festivities.
The Jubilee is set to be a huge celebration nationwide, with Gloucester City Museum’s event offering families the chance to make some fond memories of the occasion.
