Will Rumplestiltskin help Daisy spin the King’s gold, or does he have an ulterior motive? Find out when The Panto Company brings it latest laugh-a-minute pantomime to the Roses Theatre.

Christmas will be coming early to Tewkesbury’s Roses Theatre this year – on Thursday 26 July 2012 to be exact – when the touring Panto Company will present its latest pantomime, Rumplestiltskin, hoping to provide a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family.

The classic Brothers Grimm story has long been a children’s favourite fairy tale, following the unfortunate baker’s daughter Daisy, who is locked away to impossibly spin pure gold from straw for a King, before striking up a worrying bargain with the imp Rumplestiltskin in exchange for his help.

Organisers said: ‘In a fun packed show full of clap-a-long songs the audience will get to see if the magical Rumplestiltskin will return to help Daisy and what he will want in return.

‘As with all good pantomimes audience participation is a must, as you laugh along with Grub, the King’s comical food taster wondering what on earth he will get wrong next. Throw in a bit of romance as you discover if Daisy finds true love and you will have all the ingredients for a fun filled family afternoon.’

The Northumerband-based Panto Company has only three guarantees with all of its productions: to make each one fresh, new and created for that run alone, to exceed audience expectations every time and if you can imagine it, they can produce it.

So round up the family, head on down to the Roses Theatre and see for yourself if it lives up to expectations.
