Summer holidays at Gloucester Cathedral

Families hoping to inject a sense of history into the school holidays will be hop, skip and jumping to Gloucester Cathedral where they will find a free sports-themed children’s trail.

From Horrible History-worthy tales of Edward II who is buried there to the magical Harry Potter connections, Gloucester Cathedral is a place which can fire up young imaginations and is a popular day out destination throughout the year.

And during the summer holidays, from Saturday 14 July to Sunday 2 September 2012, children will also be able to take part in a fun and interactive trail, if visiting between 10am and 3.30pm.

Aptly sports-themed during the Olympic year, children can go on the hunt for the hidden golfer, can discover who enjoyed falconry and see other sports depicted in the Cathedral, during the self-guided trail which can be collected from the visitor information point.

For more information see Gloucester Cathedral, call (01452) 528095 or visit gloucestercathedral.org.uk directly.
