Dubbed ‘an event so big, it’s taking place over an entire weekend’, the Richard III Medieval Weekend is set to transport visitors back to the 15th century at Sudeley Castle and Gardens.
Taking place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August 2016, visitors can celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Bosworth as the 1,000-year-old castle hosts an array of themed activities.
Families can walk around a medieval living history encampment and watch the costumed craftsmen and women at work, including cookery, jewellery making and illumination of manuscripts.
What’s more, there will be musicians, dancers, archers, knights, a storyteller and more, as well as a special appearance from the great Richard III, who will be present on horseback, ensuring visitors get the full 15th century experience.
