Westonbirt, The National Arboretum near Tetbury, is one of the most spectacular tree gardens in the world, with more than 3,000 different tree and shrub species covering 600 acres all providing the perfect outdoors setting for a family day out.
As well as year round family trails, Westonbirt Arboretum is home to the recently opened interactive Exploratree play area for fives and under. The Naturally Playful play zones hidden amongst the trees will keep children aged up to 11 entertained for hours, and there is also an education centre and bird room, which families shouldn’t miss.
As well as a calendar of special family events, workshops and open activity days scheduled throughout the year, there’s also a café and gift shop to complete a family day out in Gloucestershire’s great outdoors.
