Dean Forest Railway Halloween Ghost Trains
The Dean Forest Railway will be hosting a Halloween treat full of tricks for brave families across Gloucestershire once again in 2009, as three ghost trains depart for a night-time trip to remember.
Once again there will be some spooky goings on at the Dean Forest Railway this Halloween, with a trio of ghost trains departing from Norchard station in 2009.
Passengers can expect to trundle past a witch’s coven, vampires slumbering in their coffins, a grisly graveyard, skulls and skeletons; ghosts and ghouls are expected to appear on the train; with a fire performer taking their place on the platform during the unique night time trip to mark the scary annual celebration.
Passengers kitted-out in their scariest outfits will be entered into the fancy dress competition. The most ghoulish grown-up and chilling child will both win prizes, when the competition is judged at 7.15pm.
The organisers advise all passengers to wrap-up warm, as the train coaches can get chilly, and bring a torch – as they don’t want the unlit journey from the free car park to the station to be a scary one before you arrive.
Whether the kids will love it or you’re a child at heart, jump aboard a ghost train, if you’re feeling brave enough, for a Halloween with a difference in 2009 – plus it might save you a bob or two if you’re out when the trick or treaters come knocking.
