Gloucester’s hugely popular Tall Ships Festival makes its much-anticipated return from Saturday 25 to Monday 27 May 2024, bigger and better than ever before.

With ship shape shenanigans spread across three days of the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, this year's programme promises non-stop live music, immersive entertainment and a star-studded line-up.

Nautical nuts won't want to miss the chance to see some of Hollywood's biggest stars, with tall ships including Phoenix, which featured in 2023 blockbuster Napoleon; and Irene, which starred in Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice Through The Looking Glass, as well as returning favourites Spirit of Falmouth and Grayound, which will be demonstrating its cannons during the event!

For music fans, the main stage is hosted by local legend DJ Dan Cooper and plays host to seven-piece powerhouse Brassienda, with support from The Incredible 11 and Roving Crows on Saturday 25; The Old Time Sailors, The Cherry Bomb, Mad Apple Circus and Step Hop House bring the party on Sunday 26, with everything from rousing sea shanties to hip hop beats.

Then chart-topping TikTok sensation Nathan Evans takes to the stage on Monday 27 May for the grand finale, along with French shanties from Nordet; rowdy swing classics from The Gin Bowlers; and skiffle-pop covers from Thrill Collins, too.

There's also The Crane Stage showcasing a host of top local talent, from Gloucester Brewery's 2023 Battle of the Bands winners, Saint Senara, to the most exciting up-and-coming artists from The Music Works

With a whole programme of immersive performances and family entertainment, too, it promises to be one of the most unmissable events of the year!

There are a variety of ticket options for 2024 providing access to Gloucester Docks across the weekend and the option to hop aboard the ships, costing from £8 to £19, with 15 per cent discounts available for anyone wanting to attend more than one day — and free tickets for under fives, too.
