Meet Santa on a Christmas cruise

24 December – Meet Father Christmas in Gloucester this December, as he sets sail on a number of special Christmas cruises organised by the National Waterways Museum.

Meet Santa in his special grotto as you sail down the River Severn this Christmas.

For the eighth year running, families from across Gloucestershire will be climbing aboard one of Santa’s special Christmas cruises, setting sail from the National Waterways Museum in Gloucester Docks every weekend from Saturday 8 to Sunday 23 December, and on Christmas Eve.

The one-hour cruises give children the chance to meet Santa in his special onboard grotto, hoping they’ve been good enough that year to receive a present. Bigger kids will also be kept happy with seasonal refreshments of mince pies and mulled wine, included in the £9 per person ticket price.

If previous years are anything to go by, the cruises are expected to be a fantastic day out for the whole family, providing a unique setting for meeting Santa as you meander along the Sharpness Canal. As such, organisers suggest booking tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
