Take the family on a festive journey with a difference this year, as Father Christmas makes his annual rounds on the popular Dean Forest Railway Santa Specials.

With a ‘ho, ho, ho,’ Father Christmas will be carrying his sack laden with presents through all the coaches on the steam engine, stopping-off to wish every child a merry Christmas, handing out gifts galore and posing for photographs with the little ones.

And big ones will also get a treat, as the man in red himself will be giving out miniatures and mince pies to well-behaved adults too. And lumps of coal for the bad ones, perhaps.

The Dean Forest Railway’s Santa Specials prove extremely popular year-after-year, so whether you have experienced the winter journey before or want to take part in a festive family day out for the first time, book well in advance and head to Lydney for a train ride treat for all ages.
