Dick Whittington at The Everyman Theatre

Until 12 January – Oh yes it is pantomime season once again and The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham will be hosting a panto with a true local hero this year, as the ever popular Dick Whittington takes to the stage.

With more than a month of thigh-slapping, audience-heckling, cross-dressing performances of Dick Whittington on The Everyman Theatre’s stage this pantomime season, there’s no excuse not to take part in the festive tradition this year.

Telling the tale of Gloucestershire’s own local boy made good on his journey from rags to riches, Dick Whittington is set to be particularly popular with audiences from across the county this Christmas.

Discover the adventures Dick finds himself having on his journey to the city where the streets are ‘paved with gold’ – including battling with the evil King Rat, finding his fortune, and finally becoming Lord Mayor of London.

The Principal Boy in this year’s panto is actress and singer Naomi Lee Schulke, who will be accompanied on stage by clever companion Tommy the Cat, in a performance which promises thrills, spills, talking animals, chases, underwater kingdoms, far off lands and bucket loads of fun and frolics for all the family.

Almost 20,000 tickets have already been sold for Dick Whittington so far, with the show set to be an even bigger success than last year’s Cinderella, so book ahead to avoid disappointment.
