Gloucester Gang Show 2008

29 March – Scouts and Guides will be getting together for Gloucester Gang Show 2008 this coming week, performing another fun-filled variety show for all the family to enjoy at The Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham.

The Bacon Theatre will be inundated by a dedicated cast of Scouts and Guides for Gloucester Gang Show 2008.

Gloucester Gang Show has come a long way since starting life in a church hall in 1959, and you can see the dramatic difference for yourself when a cast of more than 55 Gloucester District Scouts and Guides get together for another of their annual Gang Shows at The Bacon Theatre this spring.

The cast of local youngsters will join more than 60 front of house and backstage volunteers to provide an evening of show-stopping entertainment that all ages can enjoy – with the two-hour variety-style performance including singing and dancing, a smattering of drama and huge dollops of comedy thrown in for good measure.

This year’s Gloucester Gang Show is set to include an Oscar celebration; a Hello and Goodbye theme with songs from The Beatles, James Blunt and Neil Diamond; as well as a musical feature focusing on rain – which organisers say seemed like good choice to raise the spirits after last summer’s floods.

The second half of the Gloucester Gang Show will see the cast visit Las Vegas and the Far East, and celebrate friendship – with musical numbers from films and theatre spanning the decades from 1950s to 2007. Plus, a Gang Show just wouldn’t be a Gang Show without a sing-along performance of ‘Crest of a Wave’!

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to catch the annual Gloucester Gang Show at The Bacon Theatre, we guarantee you’ll go home all the happier for having seen it.
