Enthusiastic young performers are being given the chance to follow in the footsteps of famous actors and tread the boards at the Everyman Theatre over the school holidays, at the annual Summer School being held in Cheltenham this August.

The Everyman Theatre’s Junior Summer School is aimed at children aged 7 to 11 years old, and runs from Monday 2 to Saturday 7 August 2010. All the youngsters working on a show which proud mums and dads will also be able to see them perform on the Saturday evening.

Devised by the Everyman’s ReachOut team, the Senior Summer School is aimed at young people aged 12 to 18 and runs from Monday 9 to Saturday 14 August 2010. All those taking part will perform a final production in front of an audience of friends and family on the final day.

Working with professional theatre directors, and devising their own productions, this is a fantastic chance for young people to get hands-on experience of the acting, not to mention an opportunity to make new friends and have plenty of fun at the same time.
