The crowd is always good to and there's a lively atmosphere. My only recommendation is to arrive early. Oh, and I took a first date to one night...

Skate at Cheltenham this Christmas

Until 4 January – Skate at Cheltenham in Montpellier Gardens will be enticing all ages to get their skates on this Christmas season, when the rink opens in November.

This Christmas there will be the chance to Skate at Cheltenham like never before.
This Christmas there will be the chance to Skate at Cheltenham like never before.

It won’t just be the celebrities strapping on their ice skates this Christmas, when the Skate at Cheltenham rink opens its frosty doors in Montpellier Gardens.

Promising to be a magical festive activity for all the family to enjoy this winter, until Sunday 4 January 2009 the Skate at Cheltenham rink will be decked out in seasonal decorations with Christmas songs adding to the festive spirit.

While the rink isn’t made of ‘ice’ as we know it, the artificial surface at Skate at Cheltenham means you will stay dry even if you do take a tiny tumble.

Also, don’t miss the chance to warm up in The Skate Café alongside the rink, which will be serving hot drinks and suitably festive snacks.

Whether you can complete a triple axel jump like an Olympic figure skating champion, or it’s your first few steps in skates, wrap-up warm for the chance to nip around Cheltenham’s newest rink – which will be housed under a marquee, so whatever the weather skaters will keep dry.
