Gok Wan to open Gloucester Quays

30 May – See style celebrity Gok Wan in the flesh, during the official opening of the new Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet Centre this summer.

While anticipation has already been mounting over the new Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet Centre near Gloucester Docks, fashionistas from across the county are expected to flock to the centre on Saturday 30 May 2009 when none other than Gok Wan will be declaring it officially open.

The style guru and television celebrity will officially open the centre at 10.30am as part of the ten day celebration during the opening period, which begins when doors open to the public on Thursday 21 May 2009.

Gok Wan rose to fame through television shows such as How to Look Good Naked and Gok’s Fashion Fix, and will giving three 30-minute VIP audience with Gok sessions on the day. Organisers promise that Gok will be using models to explain how best to achieve up-to-the-minute looks with designer style at discounted prices through shopping at Gloucester Quays.

Specially selected clothing and accessories from stores within the designer outlet will give audience members a chance to see exactly what’s on offer, while there will also be the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A session.

There will, last but not least, also be the chance for fans to meet the star and have their copy of one of his style books signed in person.

Gloucester Quays is set to be a mix of designer outlet shopping, waterfront restaurants, cafes and bars, two hotels, food shopping and more, with Gok Wan’s appearance set to open the development in true style.
