Gloucester Christmas lights switch on
Gloucester’s Christmas lights will be switched on by the one and only Father Christmas, as part of Stars and Angels Christmas Parade on Sunday 20 November 2011.
The festive parade, featuring illuminated creations built by local school children working with professional artists, is set to start on Eastgate Street before heading to The Cross, down Westgate Street and along College Street.
Gloucester’s Christmas lights will magically switch on overhead, until the procession reaches the doors of Gloucester Cathedral, where the free event will finish in the nave of the Cathedral with a good old fashioned family carol concert.
