Children's Half Term Activities at Nature in Art
Keep the children entertained this Gloucestershire school half term break, with Nature in Art’s special arts and crafts sessions.
Devised to tackle half term boredom, and give parents a welcome break, Gloucester’s Nature in Art will be playing host to seven special activities this school holidays – with two sessions on each day.
Creative collage children’s activity

Children will be able to use lots of different materials to create stunning pictures. A messy activity which promises plenty of fun. Suitable for children aged 3+.
Wooden bird feeder children’s activity

Little ones are sure to enjoy the chance to decorate a wooden bird feeder with specialist paints, providing the perfect home for feathered friends. Suitable for children aged 3+.
Superb still life children’s activity

This activity has been devised to improve drawing and observational skills. Children will learn how to measure and accurately draw a set of everyday objects, which can then be used to help draw anything. Suitable for children aged 8+.
Glass painting disc jewellery children’s activity

Kids can decorate acrylic disc beads with glass paints before they’re attached with thread to create fantastic jewellery. Suitable for children aged 3+.
Wire butterfly mobile children’s activity

In this workshop children will create a butterfly mobile using wire and beads, then use resin to create beautiful coloured stained glass. Suitable for children aged 4+.
Passion for Pattern mosaic children’s activity

After being inspired by Nature in Art’s Passion for Pattern exhibition, children will be able to use brightly coloured paints on a gridded tile to create beautiful mosaic patterns and pictures. Suitable for children aged 3+.
Bunny box and Easter egg hunt children’s activity

In today’s sessions little ones will be able to decorate an Easter egg bunny box using pens and crayons, and take part in an Easter egg hunt. Look around the gallery and sculpture garden for clues and hidden items to help solve the puzzle and find the egg. Suitable for children aged 3+.
