Girls room makeover workshop in Gloucester

An interior design workshop created especially for girls – and their parents – is being held at Monica Lenore Designs in Gloucester during the Easter holidays.

An intriguing workshop which aims to help girls, and their parents, achieve the bedroom of their dreams is being held in Gloucester during the Easter holidays.

Taking place at the popular Monica Lenore Designs, the unique one-off interior design workshops are said to appeal to girls who are ‘stuck with a room that is filled with hand-me-downs, mismatched furniture or walls that scream for help,’ with the course costing £35, including all materials.

There are two opportunities to take part in the workshops, the morning class will be held on Wednesday 13 April from 10am to 1pm, and the alternative evening class takes place on Tuesday 19 April 2011 from 5.30pm to 8:30pm.

Organisers says: ‘Every girl needs a space to make her own, have friends over and have a laugh and some chill time with. It’s also important to have a comfortable space where you can revise, manage your ever growing wardrobe and display your latest obsessions, be they horses, Twilight characters or pictures of friends.’

Participants can expect to hear budget-friendly ideas to create a sensational room, including advice about good design, marrying form and function and how to plan for all the activities that take place in one room, as well as some upcycled projects to tackle individually.

There is also opportunity to browse through wallpaper samples and matching paint colours, look at the latest furniture designs made specifically for girls, and see some lights that will add a wow factor, before the girls and their parents create a unique mood board to take home with the advice and guidance of the experts.
