Summer holidays at Westonbirt Arboretum
With a packed schedule of activities and kids go free promotion, Westonbirt Arboretum is set to be a popular day out destination during the summer holidays.
With 600 acres to explore and the most spectacular collection of trees in the UK, there can’t be many better places for grabbing a bit of fresh air than Westonbirt Arboretum.
During the school summer holidays, families have even more reason to visit the spectacular attraction near Tetbury, as kids go free from Saturday 23 July to Wednesday 31 August 2011.
For families specifically, there’s the ‘Exploratree’ play area for toddlers, the ‘Naturally Playful’ trail for older children, and a bird room and education centre with crafty activities to keep the nippers occupied.
Plus, there’s self-guided summer trails for all ages to embark on, plenty of picnic tables, and a series of scheduled events spanning everything from the ‘Life Beneath Our Feet’ trails and ‘Growing Green’ workshops to the spectacular Treefest.
For more information see Westonbirt Arboretum, call (01666) 880220 or visit forestry.gov.uk/Westonbirt directly.
