Summer holidays at Slimbridge Wetland Centre
From becoming a nature detective to splashing about at Welly Boot Land, Slimbridge Wetland Centre is overflowing with fun possibilities for all ages during the six-week summer holidays.
As well as an astounding array of wildlife – including the world’s largest collection of flamingos, swans, geese and ducks – the young, and young at heart, will be in their element on a visit to Slimbridge Wetland Centre during the summer holidays.
From seeing the feathered graduates of Crane School and enjoying an adventurous Canoe Safari, to splashing about in the water at Welly Boot Land and getting up close to the inhabitants at Toad Hall, there’s more than enough to fill an entire day out for all ages.
Plus, from Friday 22 July to Thursday 1 September 2011, Slimbridge Wetland Centre will also be giving families the chance to become Nature Detectives, putting their CSI skills to the test to solve a wetland mystery around the grounds.
Organised specifically for the summer holidays, nature detectives can pond dip, handle an amphibian, watch the otters being fed and make a Slimbridge scrapbook, with the special activities included free of charge with admission.
For more information see Slimbridge Wetland Centre, call (01453) 891900 or visit wwt.org.uk/slimbridge directly.
