Whatever the weather forecast predicts during the summer holidays, bright smiles and plenty of family entertainment is on the cards at the Dick Whittington Farm Park in the Forest of Dean.

One of the Forest of Dean’s decidedly popular day out venues year round, Dick Whittington Farm Park in Longhope is a fun destination whatever the weather. And during the summer holidays there’s set to be plenty to keep the kids, and grown-ups, entertained.

As well as a the chance to get up close to a range of farm animals, pets and reptiles, the Farm Park will be hosting Animal Encounters sessions every day of the holidays, with daily tractor and trailer rides, metal detector sessions and face-painting also expected to prove pleasing.

Also home to a large indoor play barn, not to mention a very popular pedal kart course, there are plenty of ways for the kids to burn off all their excess energy – with an early bed time likely after an energetic visit!

Plus, don’t miss the annual Medieval Weekend at Dick Whittington Farm Park on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August 2011, when families can see brave knights do battle and can try their hands at archery, for starters.
