The Brewery's Christmas Lights Switch On
Head to The Brewery in Cheltenham for the Christmas Lights Switch On, when the whole family will be able to enjoy an afternoon and evening jam-packed with festive fun.
While the annual switching on of the Christmas lights has long been a popular Gloucestershire tradition, Cheltenham is in for an extra special treat this year as The Brewery has joined forces with Beechwood Shopping Centre and Regent arcade to provide endless festivities and fun for all the family.
The celebrations will get underway with the Cheltenham Christmas lights switch-on parade on Saturday 19 November 2011, kicking off at Beechwood Shopping Centre at 5pm and making its way to The Brewery through town.
Between 4pm and 7.30pm at The Brewery there will be a variety of local talent strutting their stuff, including pop bands, Danceworks Studio dancers, The Band of Gloucestershire Constabulary, The Choir Factor and popular rock and pop covers band The Chip Shop Boys.
The singing and dancing will continue until Santa himself arrives to switch on the lights at around 6.30pm, at the end of the Cheltenham Town Centre Christmas Parade.
While Blues Brothers Reloaded will then be keeping the party going, as the 12-strong Gloucestershire-based band gets the crowd dancing and singing with theatrical performances.
Promising an early festive treat in the heart of Cheltenham, don’t forget to book a table at one of The Brewery’s restaurants, or tickets for the latest flick at Cineworld Cheltenham, to make your evening go with a bang.
