Forest of Dean venue Dean Heritage Centre will be pulling in visitors from far and wide this Christmas, as its special Forest Fairy Tale Trail promises a feast of festive fun.

The specially carved and construction addition to the centre depicts seven fascinating fairytale scenes, all based on Brothers Grimm stories, including Handel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, The Spider and the Flea, The Golden Goose, the Frog Prince, the Three Billy Goats Gruff and Cinderella – arranged along a special trail through the centre’s grounds.

Plus, this winter highlight, running from Saturday 3 to Friday 23 December 2011, also includes the chance to meet Father Christmas in his grotto at the end of the trail, as well as a gift for children, drink, mince pie for adults and an indoor cryptic trail.

Fairy Forest Trails is described as a captivating new event at Dean Heritage Centre, and children of all ages are sure to enjoy the chance to meet the man himself in this captivating woodland setting. Don’t forget to wrap up warm, and keep an eye out for your favourite characters!
