The Chinese State Circus is back at Cheltenham Racecourse. See a Shaolin master, amazing acrobats, foot juggling, contortionist and more at this family show.

For one-night-only the world-famous Chinese State Circus will be returning to Cheltenham Racecourse, promising Gloucestershire families a thrilling evening of entertainment they’ll never forget.

Appearing at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday 9 February 2012, the show forms part of the Chinese State Circus’ national tour and will feature the first UK appearance of the ‘formidable Shaolin master known only as The One’.

The unique evening extravaganza, what’s more, promises to showcase only the best in entertainment. Witness acrobats defying gravity as the ancient discipline of Icarian Games is brought back to centre stage. Described as an act rarely seen in circus performances, this is a remarkable display of human juggling where the human body becomes a catapult and catcher in an elaborate, explosive and highly-choreographed presentation of power, poise and agility.

The show will also feature traditional Chinese acts including the legendary Bicycle Act, which is sure to have audiences on the edge of their seats as 12 artistes manoeuvre onto a single bicycle.

Witness the unpredictable and exhilarating twists of foot juggling with drums, the famous swinging poles, the sensational contortionist and the dynamic hoop divers with their amazing somersaults, leaps and jumps which all go towards completing this action packed programme.

Suitable for an audience of all ages, with evocative sets, a soaring musical score and extravagant new costumes, this Cheltenham Racecourse-hosted show will entertain the entire family long after the final curtain falls.
