Home to the Berkeley family since 1153 – visitors to the pink castle can expect to see everything from Francis Drake’s furniture to the dungeon where King Edward II was murdered. There are also tea rooms, tours with the owner Charles Berkeley can also be pre-booked, and events are held here throughout the year. Berkeley Castle, Gardens and Butterfly House are open Sundays and all bank holiday weekends from October to March, and 7 days a week during July and August.
