First established in 1969, the Cheltenham Open Air Art Exhibition is a firm fixture on the town’s events calendar – attracting thousands of art lovers from across the UK – and this year is set to be no exception.
Celebrating the 41st year of the event, this year’s art extravaganza will kick off on Saturday 19 June and run right through until Sunday 19 July 2010 – showcasing the work of more than 100 local painters along the way.
Four one-week exhibitions will form the basis of the event, taking place from Saturday 19 to Saturday 26 June, Sunday 27 June to Saturday 3 July, Sunday 4 to Saturday 10 July and Sunday 11 to Sunday 18 July 2010.
Visitors can expect to see a diverse array of artistic works as part of four exhibitions, with six-feet high screens used to show off wares in the true glory. Many of the pictures are also available for sale, with plenty of bargains up for grabs according to organisers.
Please note, the dates listed here apply to the opening fortnight of this exhibition only. Full dates for this exhibition are Saturday 19 June to Sunday 18 July 2010.
