Dubbed Britain’s favourite vicar and well known for his intrepid adventures across the planet for BBC television series ‘Extreme Pilgrim’ and ‘Around the World in 80 Faiths’, Peter Owen Jones will be dropping into Cheltenham this week for a talk at Cheltenham Town Hall.
Taking place on Tuesday 19 June 2012 and entitled ‘The Quest for Well-being’, the event will see Peter consider the choices we’ve made that have taken us to this point, and examine how we can best move forward into a future underpinned by a real experience of well-being.
‘The quest for well-being is one of the signatures of humanity,’ said Peter, ‘it’s been there since the dawn of our consciousness. It is also something that culturally we are all beginning to wake up to.
‘Whilst as a race we have been incredibly creative – especially technologically – and this has certainly made our lives in some respects easier, the reality of living a life of conscious well-being still eludes us.’
Following the talk, visitors will also have the chance to meet Peter and purchase signed copies of his book.
