The Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen will be holding its first ever exhibition at Parabola Arts Centre from Saturday 6 to Saturday 13 October 2012, giving contemporary art lovers across Cheltenham the chance to browse and buy from its extensive collection.
Having been established in Painswick in 1993, the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen is one of the longest surviving associations of professional makers in Britain, which aims to promote high quality craftsmanship, support emerging makers and increase awareness of contemporary crafts.
According to organisers, its latest exhibition Octoberfest consists of a stunning mix of traditional and contemporary designs for the home and wardrobe – all available to buy and beautifully crafted by some of the finest makers and up-and-coming young designers.
And with the exhibition spanning everything from ceramics, glass and furniture to hand-woven textiles, jewellery and leather, there’s sure to be something to suit all tastes and budgets here.
