There’s nothing like hanging a festive wreath decked with beautifully scented seasonal foliage, berries and bells to add a touch of Christmas magic to your front door this winter.

The tradition dates back to ancient European culture, often being made from seasonal materials to represent the change from autumn to winter, with the iconic festive decoration remaining a firm favourite for injecting a dose of Christmas cheer to your home.

1. The Malthouse Collective

Offering the perfect opportunity to make something a little different, Christmas at the Malthouse Collective on Wednesday 6 and Wednesday 13 December 2017 gives guests the chance to create a stunning festive wreath with a scrumptious hot drink and tasty mince pie too!

2. Fairford Community Centre

Enjoy a day of festive fun with expert florists, Not Just Bouquets’ Christmas in a Day workshop. Covering all the know-how on creating a beautiful Christmas wreath on Saturday 18 November 2017, master florist Ann will also show guests how to make a gorgeous garland, centrepiece for the dinner table, and other floral festive arrangements.

3. Stroud Subscription Rooms

Get creative at Stroud Subscription Rooms’ drop-in Festive Willow Workshop workshop on Sunday 3 December 2017. The hands-on event will see visitors create a whole host of festive decorations including the all-important wreath.

4. The Academy of Flowers

Spread some festive cheer with a Christmas Wreath Workshop at The Academy of Flowers. Taking place on various dates from Thursday 30 November to Thursday 7 December 2017, the workshop covers traditional wreath making and gorgeous garlands.

5. Tudor Farmhouse

Join Josephine’s Fabulous Florists at Tudor Farmhouse in the Forest of Dean on Friday 1 and Wednesday 6 December 2017 for Christmas Wreath Making, followed by a delicious two-course seasonal lunch.

Kickstart the festive season with a Festive Wreath Making Day on Friday 1 December 2017. What’s more, guests can also look forward to a delicious two-course roast dinner to keep hunger at bay throughout the day.

7. The Willow Tree

Add a dose of festive cheer by heading to The Willow Tree's seasonal crafting event. Taking place at the independent gift shop on Fridays 1, 15 and 22 December 2017, the Christmas Wreath Making Workshop will teach guests how to create personalised festive displays.

8. Tewkesbury Heritage Centre

Try your hand at an alternative wreath-making session when Tewkesbury Heritage Centre hosts its Christmas Willow workshop on Saturday 2 December 2017, creating timeless pieces that you can use year after year.

9. The Feathered Nest Inn

Offering a special Christmas Flower workshop on Tuesday 5 December 2017, guests can create their own festive floral decorations at The Feathered Nest Inn, followed by a scrumptious two-course lunch the Cotswold pub.

10. Newark Park

Soak up the beautiful setting of the National Trust’s Newark Park in Wotton-under-Edge on Wednesday 6 December 2017 as you enjoy a festive morning of wreath-making, using materials foraged from the stately home’s impressive gardens.

11. Coaley Village Hall

Enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine and mince pies at Cotswold Country Flowers’ Christmas Wreath workshop on Saturday 9 December 2017, working with festively fragrant foliage create a stunning wreath and add pine cones, fruits and nuts to finish.

12. Calcot Manor

Get ready for Christmas with a Winter Wreath Making workshop at the stunning Calcot Manor. Taking place on Monday 11 December 2017, the workshop also includes coffee and pastries to start the day and a delicious two-course lunch.

13. The Nursery at Miserden

Escape to the Cotswolds and get in the festive spirit with a Christmas Wreath Workshop at The Nursery at Miserden on Monday 27 November 2017. With expert tips from the Cotswold Flower Company’s Sarah Champier, guests can create their own Christmas decoration with winter greens and decorations of their choice, with everything from seasonal dried fruits to ribbons on offer.

14. Water Lane Workshops

With a whole day of Christmassy crafts in store, creative types can head to a Wreath Making at Water Lane Workshops on either Thursday 7, Friday 8 or Tuesday 12 December 2017, covering wreath making in the morning and homemade decorations in the afternoon.

15. Lower Blakemere Farm

Just across the border in Hereford, floral fans can head to The Great British Florist’s Wreath Making Workshop. With workshops taking place on Thursday 7, Saturday 9, Tuesday 12 and Saturday 16 December 2017, guests can create gorgeous Christmas wreaths to take home.
