Chapel Arts is an exciting new arts space that opened its doors in the thriving St James’ area of Cheltenham in spring 2017.

The former Baptist chapel has been modernised and restored to create an impressive, flexible venue that can host a variety of events and exhibitions.

The venture was founded by Ian James, formerly of Martin’s Gallery in Montpellier Parade, and continues to showcase interesting sculptures and exciting contemporary paintings in Gloucestershire, along with championing the work of local artists.

Chapel Arts’ diverse programme of exhibitions gives arts lovers the chance to appreciate a variety of mediums.

The versatile venue can seat over 100 people, making it suitable for concerts, poetry readings, and music recitals, with both intimate meeting rooms and large full-height spaces available for hire.

The art centre’s on-site café, Coffee ‘n’ Cake, is a light and airy space where you can soak up the ever-changing displays of art while enjoying hot drinks and freshly baked cakes.
