Slimbridge Wetland Centre

Slimbridge Wetland Centre in the Stroud area of Gloucestershire is home to a world of wetland wildlife, family attractions and prime birdwatching spots.

With over 100 acres of habitats to explore, WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre is home to a world of wetland wildlife, including flamingos, ducks and a vast number of migrating Bewick’s swans in the winter months.

Animal lovers can say ‘aloha’ to the world’s rarest goose at the Hawaiian-inspired Mission Possible exhibit, catch a bird demonstration at the Living Wetland Theatre, or spot colourful amphibians at Toad Hall, where the deadly poisonous golden poison frog lives.

It’s a fantastic destination for a family day out, with events throughout the year, a canoe safari and Welly Boot Land for little ones to splash about; while birdwatchers and budding photographers will love trying out the bird hides.
