Cheltenham Festival celebrations at Apres

Editor's Choice

For the Cheltenham Festival and Gold Cup, Après is promising to host the biggest party in town, complete with the biggest TVs, an outdoor Guinness bar and live Irish music.

Après will once again be pulling out all the stops to make The Cheltenham Festival 2012 a memorable occasion away from the track, when the popular bar and restaurant at The Brewery hosts what promises to be Cheltenham’s biggest party for residents and racing fans alike.

Throughout Race Week 2012, those kitted out in their finest hats or clutching pairs of binoculars can start their day at the races in style, by heading to Après for a full Irish breakfast or a pint of the black stuff from the outdoor Guinness bar from 9.30am.

From Tuesday 13 to Friday 16 March 2012, sporting action will be shown live on huge plasma television screens – the largest in Cheltenham, with private booths with 3D TVs also available.

A full menu including Irish specials will also be served. And, there will be Ladbrokes’ tipsters on hand to help those novice gamblers who don’t know their odds from elbows.

When the sun sets, the revelry for racegoers – and the after work crowd in Cheltenham – will only get more boisterous when local legends The Roving Crows (winners of Top Celtic Rock Band and Top Fiddle Player at the Irish Music Awards 2012, no less) return to Apres for four nights of live performances.

The renowned Irish band promise to set Apres alight for the fourth year in a row – providing a cracking atmosphere and a highly anticipated highlight to a week of celebrations taking place across Cheltenham.
